Stock market Holiday, NSE BSE SENSE Close Today

  NSE/ BSE Holiday

Trading in the stock market is done only when the markets are open, but there are some special days when the markets are closed, called "Trading Holidays", these can be national festivals, religious festivals, special circumstances, etc.

Types of Trading Holidays:

There are two major stock exchanges in India—BSE and NSE—and both of them release a trading holiday calendar every year that lists all the days when the market will be closed. Trading holidays generally fall into three categories:

National holidays: such as Republic Day (26 January), Independence Day (15 August), A.a.a.ga.tr. Gandhi Jayanti (2 October).

Religious festivals: such as_effect, Eid, Holi, Christmas,Korean, etc.

Weekly holidays: The market is closed on Saturday and Sunday throughout the week.

Importance of Trading Holidays:

Trading holidays mean a relaxing time for investors but it is also a very important time from the technical point of view as during these days the stock exchange gets time for maintenance of its systems of Ignite.
